Meal Nineteen: Lasanga Sloppy Joes

Oh my.... our main dish was Lasagna Sloppy Joes, but the homemade Tater Tots were AMAZING. We figured an easier entree gave Eeyore plenty of time for a more complex side dish.  We are lucky she didn't discover "30 minutes of freezing time required" until she had some of her Tequila Sour....

Meal Eighteen: Crunchy Fish

The birthday girl wanted crispy Haddock.  Eeyore did her usual wonderful job and enhanced a bit, using the fry technique from the recent chicken nuggets.  Roasted potatoes and crunchy slaw completed the meal and a cheesy bread flower started us out. Cakes of many shapes and flavors were provided as our special girl wished. Yum!

Meal Seventeen: Garlicky Pork Cutlets

Meal Sixteen: Chicken Nuggets

Chicken Nuggets BBQ Fries Broccoli Slaw YUM!

Meal Fifteen: Schnitzel Cordon Bleu

We enjoyed Schnitzel Cordon Bleu and Eeyore thought it was one of her favorite meals.... high praise!  It was delicious and the combo of simple buttered noodles and wilted spinach blended perfectly on a cooler fall evening. For an extra treat, Eeyore provided Apple Pie Eggrolls... fried yummy goodness!

Meal Fourteen: Spicy Spaghetti Pie

Spicy Spaghetti Pie   was a crowd pleaser...meat, sauce and cheese baked together. We needed a big pan (9x13), but there were plenty of yummy leftovers.  Even some homemade garlic bread!

Meal Thirteen: Pork Chops & Rice

Might be one of the last for the year to be enjoyed on the sunporch... Fall is upon us. Pork Chops and Rice was very tasty... rice was super flavorful and  made great leftovers for another dinner!

Meal Twelve: Buffalo Chicken Rolls

Better Homes & Gardens called these "Buffalo Chicken Rolls", but they were re-named Buffalo Chicken Calazones around here.  They came out really yummy.   After Eyore cooked the chicken, she mixed it with celery, carrots, Frank's Hot Sauce and Buffalo sauce.  The pizza dough crust held the meaty goodness with blue cheese crumbles on the top.   Waffle fries for some, Sweet Potato Tater Tots for others.

Meal Eleven: Frito Chili Pie

Frito Chili Pie It started out rainy and chilly, so a warmer dinner was in order.  The day did get nice later and we could grill the corn.  YUM.  we skipped the bag presentation and ate them from the bowls. Eeyore knew the key to good assembly was Fritos on the bottom, a layer of cheese.... THEN the chili (and another dusting of cheese!).  She also provided individual blueberry crumbles from her own harvesting adventure.  Nice.

Meal Ten: Macaroni & Cheese Casserole

Tropical Storm Andrea made it a rainy Friday, so home cooking was in order...   Macaroni & Cheese Casserole      ... creamy cheese with crunchy topping and some grilled sausage was just perfect. Since Tigger discovered Bacon Cheddar Scones , he looks for any opportunity to add them to a meal.  Eeyore obliged...  YUM!

Meal Nine: Chicken Chimichangas

Chicken Chimichangas ... One Minute Salsa ... Chunky Guacamole It was a delicious Mexican Fiesta for our only May PD.

Meal Eight: Chicken Cordon Bleu

A fine spring meal... Chicken Cordon Bleu   and Orzo Pilaf.  It was even customized for the non-Swiss cheese eaters in our midst with some pepper jack instead.  Yum!

Meal Seven: Grilled Patty Melts

A repeat and return to MEAT.... Grilled Patty Melts and Jo Jo Potatoes.   Diner fare is popular with this crowd! Sadly, Rabbit was battling strep throat and was missed, but these were delish.  Eeyore  is the master of all challenges presented!

Meal Six: Fish Cakes

Final Fish Friday.... we tried out a new recipe.. Fish Cakes.   I think we can expect a repeat appearance of this crunchy goodness!  Beautiful pieces of cod combined with potatoes and seasoning.  Panko crust... of course. Bubbles recalls having many a meal of Gorton's Codfish Cakes, from the yellow can!  Always accompanied by VegAll salad... it was important to keep a can in the fridge, so it was cold when you mixed it up. This recipe is from Dinner: A Love Story .... sadly,  it doesn't seem to be posted online but the book is a good read if you have a chance to peruse.  The dipping sauce was lime cilantro, also yummy!

Meal Five: Fish'wich

Eeyore outdid herself with a perfect production of crunchy fish... cooked to order! We enjoyed Chanel's company, while DownLoad fought off a cold at home and was missed around our table. No fish meal is complete without roasted potatoes and crunchy slaw.  Finished off with some cupcakes from East End, it was an early spring meal success!

Meal Four: Pasta Bar

We reassembled for our new season... what a great winter! Pasta Bar was perfect for all.  Tomato sauce, fusilli and pesto tortellini made the base.. sausage, pinto beans, olives and cheese could be added as desired. We even used some of the Pesto and as well as the Basil Butter I created with my good crop last summer!

Meal Three: Cajun Sloppy Joes

It was Fragile's First Birthday!  Since our boy came to us by way of Louisiana, we thought Cajun Sloppy Joes would be a fun dinner! We added some other regular favorites... Jo Jo Potatoes with homemade ranch dressing and Broccoli Slaw. His girlfriend came over and even brought him an iced cookie and balloons!  The grownups had Creamscile Cake .    It was a great day!

Meal Two: Mustard-Onion Pork Cutlets

We enjoyed Mustard-Onion Pork Cutlets with noodles and rolls.  It was a bit of a beige meal and a tad sweeter than Tigger enjoys, but tasty as usual. Rabbit's bar-tending skills had Eeyore trying to focus!

Meal One: Lemon Chicken with Artichokes and Potatoes

Happy New Year!!!  We started off with lighter fare, just to keep those resolutions going... Lemon Chicken with Artichokes and Potatoes was the choice.  It didn't seem quite enough to our Eeyore, who added a crunchy panko crust- Yum!

Welcome 2013

Another year of good times and good eats ahead!
