Meal Six: Fish Cakes

Final Fish Friday.... we tried out a new recipe.. Fish Cakes.   I think we can expect a repeat appearance of this crunchy goodness!  Beautiful pieces of cod combined with potatoes and seasoning.  Panko crust... of course.

Bubbles recalls having many a meal of Gorton's Codfish Cakes, from the yellow can!  Always accompanied by VegAll salad... it was important to keep a can in the fridge, so it was cold when you mixed it up.

This recipe is from Dinner: A Love Story .... sadly,  it doesn't seem to be posted online but the book is a good read if you have a chance to peruse.  The dipping sauce was lime cilantro, also yummy!

Meal Seven : Pork Chops with Tomato Gravy

This meal had a few doubters at the start, but it was a big success.  Pork Chops with Tomato Gravy served over Cheese Grits ... southern goodness from a Yankee chef! The king kutter provided perfectly shredded cheese- as usual.

Meal Seventeen: Garlicky Pork Cutlets with Prosciutto, Lemon, and Sage

Repeat from many PD's ago ...   Garlicky Pork Cutlets with Prosciutto, Lemon, and Sage ...they came out perfectly thanks to a special early arrival of Piglet... some vacation time from work meant we got to enjoy his company all evening... sometimes Eeyore needs that support! Rounded out the meal with mashed taters and lima beans.  YUM!

Meal Five: Panko Crusted Haddock

Back by popular demand, the all time favorite ... Crunchy Fish!  The original recipe gets modified from cod to haddock and this sauce is fabulous.  Go for the regular mayo and make it the night before... YUM!  Squirts had a headache, so we missed him at the table, but saved him some dessert....
