Meal Twenty-Three: Chicken Shepherd's Pie

Our 2015 Finale was a tasty twist on Shepherd's Pie ... chicken!  It was lots of chopping and shredding, but delish!  Some great dinners rolls and desserts rounded out the meal.  What a great year!

Meal Twenty- Two: Spicy Sausage, Chicken and Bean Pot

Spicy Sausage, Chicken & Bean Pot was well loved comfort food as we head into winter.   Popular with the whole gang, chicken, sausage and plenty of flavor!

Meal Twenty One: Crunchy Fish

this was tagged "best version ever" by Tigger, despite the TREMENDOUS mess Eeyore makes when she cooks a little tipsy.    the standard sides of roasted potatoes and broccoli slaw were accompanied by a childhood friend of Owl's.  Birthday Whoopie Pie was also enjoyed.

Meal Twenty: Risotto with Chicken, Lemon, and Basil

Risotto with Chicken, Lemon and Basil was good fall fare and VERY filling!   We enjoyed some drop biscuits and custom margarita from the bartender.

Meal Nineteen: Reduced-Fat Chicken Tetrazzini

Good fall comfort food and even good for us!  Reduced Fat Chicken Tetrazzini was a winner.

Meal Eighteen: Chiles Rellenos Casserole

We have enjoyed  Chiles Rellenos Casserole before, but it sure is tasty! Started out with guacamole and classic Rotel queso dip . We substituted a Mainer for a Canadian, as Piglet was under the weather. :(

Meal Seventeen: Pastita and Sausage

Oh my, what a yummy meal.  Pastita  (cheesy noodles) and grilled sausage... perfect.

Meal Fifteen: Chicken Tacos

Our southern visitor brought the heat, so we kept it simple.  Chicken Tacos with plenty of side items. Yum!

Meal Sixteen: Panko Crusted Pork Chops

Another yummy meal... Panko Crusted Pork Chops .   We are more mashed potatoes than broccoli rabe (though we did have a salad!) and even added White Peppered Gravy to it all.  Delish!

Meal Fourteen: Grilled Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad

it was Birthday Eve for our chef, so we made it pretty simple.... but this was delish... Grilled Chicken Caeser Pasta Salad .   YUM!

Meal Thirteen: Chicken Scarpariello

Another test recipe from America's Test Kitchen:   Chicken Scarpaiello. We really enjoyed this and look for w ard to see ing how it eventually ends up published in Cook 's Country magazine. Chic ke n, sausage and hot cherry pep pers combine t o make a very fla vorful meal.

Meal Twelve: Chicken Parmesan Roll Ups

It was another great summer evening with wonderful food.   Chicken Parmesan Roll Ups with a side of noodles (extra red sauce for Christopher Robin)

Meal Eleven: Pimento Cheeseburgers

We wanted to give our northern visitors a taste of the south, so Pimento Cheeseburgers seemed like a good choice.  It was and we all enjoyed!  Zesty Three Bean Salad and crunchy chips made a tasty summer supper. Our bartender impressed the Canadians and dessert was custom created for the crowd. Hooray summer!

Meal Ten: Steak Hoagies

Steak Hoagies, Jo Jo Potatoes and Wedge Salad...  it feels like summertime though we missed our bartender.

Meal Nine: Saltimbocca Burgers

Great meal on a lovely spring evening.  Saltimbocca Burgers were another hit from an unlikely source.  We had our beloved Canadian in town, as well as fun rides in a Batmobile!

Meal Eight : Mexican Stuffed Shells

WOW was this popular!!!  Mexican and Italian combined into a yummy dish.  It was tagged as "one of the best ever" by Tigger himself. Pinterest supplied the recipe:  Mexican Stuffed Shells .  I have been wanting to try this Homemade Enchilada Sauce recipe and it seemed like the perfect time.  The crowd approved!  We also had Garlicy Pinto Beans . This was a great meal!

Meal Seven : Pork Chops with Tomato Gravy

This meal had a few doubters at the start, but it was a big success.  Pork Chops with Tomato Gravy served over Cheese Grits ... southern goodness from a Yankee chef! The king kutter provided perfectly shredded cheese- as usual.

Meal Six: Chicken Cordon Bleu

This is another favorite and the welcome return to meat!   Chicken Cordon Bleu really is yummy and pairs well with sauteed spinach and mashed taters.

Meal Five: Taco Bar

It's easy to prepare, but the dish count was enormous! Used the grill for the steaks.... fun spring milestone!

Meal Four: Crunchy Haddock

Probably one of the best versions of an old favorite.  It was nice to be together again.

Meal Three: Pasta Bar

Late to post from February...  too much winter... too much fun.  Everyone enjoyed their own creations!

Meal Two: Herb Stuffed Pork Chops

We think this was been on the menu before, but it was just as delicious this time. Herb Stuffed Pork Chops and Spinach Orzo plus a salad made for a great meal. "Snow-maggedon"  gave Piglet the urge to bake, so fresh cookies were provided to finish us off in style.

Meal One: Unfried Chicken

January always feels like the time to eat healthy.... even tho cold and dark makes creamy and buttery seem necessary! Un- fried Chicken , Garlic Mashed Cauliflowe r and Sauteed Spinach was our inaugural meal.  We used boneless chicken thighs and regular panko and it all tasted great. This was also the debut of beautiful new placemats from Momma Anne and lovely napkins from my beloved Giggles in Indiana!

Happy New Year!

Another great year to look forward to...  Welcome 2015!
