Meal Eleven: Cheeseburgers on Texas Toast

Break in the action... mid May brought visitors to our town and work took me out of town.  We missed a few weeks in May, but Memorial Day weekend eve was grillin' time.

We had Bacon Cheeseburgers... mixed some crumbled bacon and cheese with the beef- YUM!

I also provided my crunchy noodle salad - cabbage slaw, ramen noodles and green onions with an oil and vinegar dressing.  Simple, but tastes great.

Meal Five: Matzo-Pizza Lasagna

Meal Seven : Pork Chops with Tomato Gravy

This meal had a few doubters at the start, but it was a big success.  Pork Chops with Tomato Gravy served over Cheese Grits ... southern goodness from a Yankee chef! The king kutter provided perfectly shredded cheese- as usual.

Meal Ten: Skillet Macaroni with Zesty Meat Sauce

This was good easy fare for a rainy Summer evening.   Skillet Macaroni with Zesty Meat Sauce gave us the chance to use our basil (which recovered from some type of animal attack earlier this season) and new pan.  It was a generous portion with enough leftovers for everyone. We didn't want to be too simple for our skilled chef, so we added a bakery component.  Garlic Cheese Biscuits from Paula Deen were perfect!  These yummy little treats did NOT have any leftovers. Even our birthday boy Squirt noticed right when he walked in... "those look like the Bisquick biscuits my mom used to make", to which we responded "they are!"
