Meal Three: Pasta Bar

This Friday, pity dinner was a custom affair.  Some good basic pastas... spaghetti, fusilli and cheese tortellini ... topped with a strong red sauce .  From there you could add  browned sausage, pinto beans, kalamata olives and cheese.  This was inspired by Bubble's Pasta Fagiole at The Grit.

An Italian meal would not be complete without some bread, so i also whipped up some seasoned olive oil for dipping.  Very tasty!

Dory was back to cooking again - which is good on many levels and she even brought some brownies for dessert.  C-pap was quite pleased.  A successful return to a missed tradition!

Meal Seven : Pork Chops with Tomato Gravy

This meal had a few doubters at the start, but it was a big success.  Pork Chops with Tomato Gravy served over Cheese Grits ... southern goodness from a Yankee chef! The king kutter provided perfectly shredded cheese- as usual.

Meal Seventeen: Garlicky Pork Cutlets with Prosciutto, Lemon, and Sage

Repeat from many PD's ago ...   Garlicky Pork Cutlets with Prosciutto, Lemon, and Sage ...they came out perfectly thanks to a special early arrival of Piglet... some vacation time from work meant we got to enjoy his company all evening... sometimes Eeyore needs that support! Rounded out the meal with mashed taters and lima beans.  YUM!

Meal Five: Panko Crusted Haddock

Back by popular demand, the all time favorite ... Crunchy Fish!  The original recipe gets modified from cod to haddock and this sauce is fabulous.  Go for the regular mayo and make it the night before... YUM!  Squirts had a headache, so we missed him at the table, but saved him some dessert....
